North Dakota service areas
Surplus wire buying across North Dakota
One buying service, statewide coverage. Find your region or city to see how surplus wire moves out of that part of the state, then send the details and photos.
Coverage
Four regions, twenty-three cities, one process
We do not have an office, yard or staff in these cities. We buy wire from sellers there and coordinate pickup or freight for each load, which is why the physical location of the material is the detail that matters.
Eastern North Dakota
Eastern North Dakota is the half of the state where freight runs to a border or a city instead of a well pad. I-29 goes north out of Fargo toward the Canadian line and south toward Wahpeton, I-94 carries the east-west traffic, US-2 cuts across the top through Grand Forks, and ND-5 reaches Bottineau. Inside that box is a dense run of plants, shops and commercial buildings, most of it within a short drive of an interchange.
Red River Valley
The Red River Valley is a flat, wet corridor along the river, and its electrical load follows the crop. Sugarbeet, potato, corn and soy move through piling stations, elevators, dryer plants and processing lines, all of them running motors and controls on a clock set by weather and the campaign schedule. When the beets come in, the plant runs. When they do not, the plant is a construction site.
Central North Dakota
Central North Dakota is organized around two corridors that cross at Bismarck-Mandan. I-94 runs east to west, US-83 runs north to south through Minot and on toward the border, US-2 threads the northern tier through Minot and Rugby, and US-281 drops south through Jamestown. Government, commercial construction, rail and agriculture fill in everything between. I-94 also ties the region to Fargo in the east and Dickinson in the west, which matters when a reel has to travel.
Western North Dakota
Western North Dakota is oil country with a lignite seam underneath it. US-85 runs north from I-94 through Watford City to Williston, US-2 follows the northern tier through Stanley and Tioga, and ND-200 crosses the Missouri country through Beulah and Hazen. Dickinson sits on I-94 at the region's eastern edge, close enough to the lease roads to share their habits. It is a lot of ground for a region with so few paved alternatives.
Freight reality
Distance is part of the price
Copper is heavy and low in volume, so a trailer fills by weight long before it fills by space. A lot in Fargo and a lot in Williston are not the same freight problem, and a partial reel 400 miles from the nearest flatbed may not survive the math. We say so when that happens instead of wasting your time.
If you are unsure whether a lot is worth moving, send it anyway. A wide photo and the reel count take two minutes and give us enough to tell you honestly whether it is workable.

Photos and a few specs are enough to start. We will come back with questions or pricing, then agree on pickup or shipping.
