WE BUY SEASONAL AND FARM WIRE IN DEVILS LAKE, ND

Seasonal buildings produce seasonal surplus. A cabin, a campground loop, or a dock service gets wired in a short window, and the material left over waits in a shed until somebody needs the shelf. Most of that cable is still sound, which is why nobody has thrown it out.

Much of what we see from Devils Lake has been stored for years and moved once. URD on a part reel, USE-2 still banded, low-voltage cable for dock lighting, and THHN from a service upgrade. It is not complicated wire, but it does need an honest description of condition.

Lakeside and seasonal buildings

Underground cable is the standard here because nothing stays plowed. URD in aluminum and copper, direct-burial runs to a dock or a shed, and low-voltage cable for landscape and deck lighting. Small sizes, short runs, and a lot of remainders. Conductor sizes run from #10 and #8 up to #2 or 1/0 for a building further from the meter.

The condition question is water. Cable stored in an unheated shed takes on moisture at the cut ends, and a reel that was standing in a puddle will show corrosion on the exposed conductor. Look at the ends and tell us what you see. Cable that was buried and then dug back out has a jacket abraded by rock and shovel, and that is worth mentioning up front.

Farm and elevator work

Farm sites bring in a different mix. Submersible pump cable, UF for outbuildings, and THHN from a bin fan or auger circuit. Elevator work adds control cable on small spools and cut lengths of tray cable. Bin fans and augers take motor leads in #10 and #8, usually cut at the starter with a cord grip still on one end.

Most of this arrives in a pickup bed rather than on a pallet, and that is fine. Sort by type, keep the tags with the reels, and send one photo per group instead of one photo of everything. If a spool sat in the open, the outer wrap will be faded while the jacket underneath may be sound. Look at the outer layer rather than the label.

Loading and freight from Devils Lake

We buy from sellers around the lake and along US-2, the only highway through here, so freight plans stay simple. LTL handles pallets and coils, and a liftgate covers a residential or lakeside address. Say whether the driveway can take a 53-foot trailer before we book one.

Wire sitting in Devils Lake?

Send the reel count and a photo of the tags. If it loads with a forklift, say so — it changes the plan.
