What we buy
From #14 branch-circuit wire to 69kV shielded cable. Group your lot by type and send the details for the whole stack, even if some reels are only partly full.
Feeder, branch circuit and service wire in copper or aluminum, from #14 through 1000 MCM, on full reels or the tail end of a job.
Tray, machine and feeder cable built for plants: TC and TC-ER, MC and AC, VFD cable, welding cable and heavy flexible cord.
Shielded and unshielded multi-conductor cable for panels, loops, PLC racks and plant instrumentation, including tray-rated constructions.
Communication, fire alarm and low-voltage control cable, including plenum and riser constructions left over from commercial fit-outs.
5kV through 69kV and above, EPR or XLPE, shielded and concentric neutral, when the reel is available and the footage is documented.
Reels, spools, coils, cartons — and the odd reel nobody wants to move
Photographed inventoryHow selling works
No auctions, no consignment, no listing fees. You describe the material, we review it, and the two of us agree on a price and a way to move it.
Wire type, metal, gauge or MCM, voltage, conductor count, footage, condition, packaging, and the city and ZIP where the wire physically sits. Add photos of the reel tags and jacket legends.
We check the type, footage, condition and packaging against what the tags and legends say, and come back with questions if something is missing or unclear.
We discuss what the material is worth and how it can move: your dock, a forklift, a flatbed, or LTL on pallets. Nothing is assumed about your site.
Once we agree on price and logistics, the load is scheduled. Reels stay on their drums and tags stay attached until they are on the trailer.
Sizes, packaging, condition
A full reel with the factory tag is the easy case. The rest of the time it is three partial reels of 4/0 XHHW, a coil of #6 bare copper, a carton of SOOW cord and a reel of tray cable that sat through two winters behind the shop. Send it all in one request and describe it honestly.
We do not guarantee that every type, size or condition will be accepted. What we do guarantee is that a clear submission gets a clear answer: either a pricing conversation, or a straight explanation of why the material is not a fit.
Who we buy from
Surplus wire collects wherever projects end early, specs change, or a maintenance stockroom gets reorganized. These are the kinds of North Dakota operations that tend to end up with it.
North Dakota coverage
We buy surplus wire from sellers across North Dakota. Fargo and the Red River Valley, Bismarck-Mandan, Minot, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Williston, Watford City, Stanley, Tioga, Beulah, Hazen and the smaller towns between them all work the same way: describe the material, send photos, agree on price and logistics.
There is no branch office in every city and we do not pretend otherwise. This is a buying service that coordinates pickup or freight for each load, which is why the city and ZIP of the material matter more than the address on your business card.
Statewide coverage · pickup and freight coordinated load by load

Photos and a few specs are enough to start. We will come back with questions or pricing, then agree on pickup or shipping.
Questions sellers ask
Copper and aluminum electrical wire and cable: THHN, THWN, THWN-2, XHHW and XHHW-2 building wire; bare and insulated copper; grounding wire and welding cable; MC, AC, tray cable, VFD cable, TC/TC-ER, PLTC, SER, SEU, URD and USE-2; SOOW and flexible cable; control, instrumentation, communication and shielded cable; fire-alarm and low-voltage cable; and medium or high-voltage cable from 5kV through 69kV and above when the footage is documented.
Yes. A partial reel is still worth quoting. Tell us the approximate footage on the tag, or measure across the coil and say so. Short lengths of heavy gauge or medium-voltage cable can still be useful; short lengths of common sizes may not survive the freight, and we will tell you that plainly.
Pricing comes from the material itself: metal and recovery yield, gauge, insulation and jacket type, voltage class, conductor count, actual footage, condition and packaging, then the cost of getting it from your yard to ours. That is why footage and clear photos matter. We discuss pricing with you directly; this site does not publish price sheets or guaranteed offers.
Often, yes. Reels can move LTL on a pallet or by flatbed for larger lots, and we will discuss which makes sense for your footage and loading access. Wire is heavy, so freight class, weight per reel and whether a liftgate is needed all matter.
Four kinds: a wide shot of the whole lot showing how many reels there are; the reel tag photographed straight on; a close-up of the printed jacket legend; and any damage or exposed conductor ends. If a reel is banded and wrapped, photograph the wrap and the tag rather than unwrapping it in the rain.
No. This is a buying service covering North Dakota, not a branch network, and we do not claim a physical office in the cities listed on this site. Pickup and shipping are arranged for each load.
Send the tag and a photo of the jacket legend. We will tell you what we need to make an offer.
